SNOWMOBILE RENTAL & GUIDE SERVICE

4 Hour Tour = $250.00 per snowmobile

6 Hour Tour = $350.00 per snowmobile

Included:

- Professional Certified Guide

- snowmobile

- snowmobile gas

- snowmobile oil

- helmets

- safety and operational instructions

- snack (fruit, sweets)

- cold refreshment (water, pop)

- hot beverage (tea, coffee, hot chocolate)

- groomed trail permit

- Bay Du Nord Wilderness access permit

Person must be 16 or older to drive.

The above prices are for those who will meet me at my location.  Those wanting me to meet them elsewhere will be charged extra to cover fuel costs and vehicle use.

If we are required to deliver our rental snowmobiles to your location there will be an extra charge per snowmobile for delivery and pickup.

Groups exceeding 6 snowmobiles will require a second guide at an extra cost of $200.00.

Very large groups will need multiple guides.

 

Groups requiring us to plan large, detailed trips will have to pay an extra fee (amount determined by the size of the group and the details of the trip needed to be planned/organized)

 

GUIDE SERVICE ONLY:

Minimum Full Day Rates Only

$250.00 per day (up to 6 machines)

PLEASE NOTE:

- ALL trips are designed for everyone (beginner to experienced).

- We can provide hot trail meals for an extra charge of $30.00 (this meal will be cooked over an open fire or on a coleman stove depending on the fire index); please see below for meal choices.

- Digital pictures can be emailed or snail mailed (on a cd) to you if requested and they will also be posted on our website and Facebook.

- We can go ice fishing but advance notice is needed and non residents will need a fishing licence which will be an extra cost.

 

- Our policies concerning weather: if you will ride in it, so will we, with one exception, the Bay Du Nord Wilderness Reserve riding will be very limited because high winds and blowing, drifting snow make this area very dangerous!

 

- You are responsible for your own snowmobiles, helmets, snowmobile clothing, gas/oil, personal gear, cameras, trail stickers, etc, unless otherwise noted.

 

- We reserve the right to cancel your trip because of weather, trail conditions or other reasons if we deem it necessary.

- Bookings In Advance Recommended!

- Prices are in Canadian funds.

- We are NOT set up for credit/debit cards.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

SNOWMOBILE RENTALS

 

OUR rentals are available for our guided tours only

 

* We can give you contact information for rentals from an outside source

 

* If WE have to rent from an outside source (if our snowmobiles are booked) the rental rate will start at $200.00 and up + tax per machine, depending on the rental company and the type of machine, and you will be responsible to pay for the guide service, oil, gas and transporting (trail permit is included)

 

 

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

 

* We can help arrange accommodations at one of the many local cottages, B&B's and motels  

  

 

 

CAMPFIRE ('BOIL-UP')

 

* We will have a campfire at lunchtime (you are responsible for your own noon meal unless you arrange for us to provide it) 

 

 

 

OUR GUIDES

 

* Qualified and Experienced

 

* Trained in First Aid and CPR

 

* Trained in map and compass use

 

* Trained in GPS use (Global Positioning Systems)

 

 

 

BAY DU NORD WILDERNESS PERMIT

 

* Travel the Bay Du Nord Wilderness Area without the hassles of having to get individual permits

 

* These permits are required by law 

 

 

 

HOT TRAIL MEALS (UPON REQUEST - EXTRA CHARGE)

 

Menu Options:

  • cod fish ash
  • pan fried cod & pork scrunchions
  • cod fish stew
  • moose stew
  • beef stew
  • canned moose
  • beans and bologna
  • (soups and stews are all home made)

also includes:

  • beverages (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and pop)

  • sweets (cookies, biscuits, buns, granola bars)

  • fresh baked homemade bread (excellent toasted over the open fire)

  • wieners and marshmallows (for the kids Ė if requested)

  • all extras needed (butter, milk, sugar, coffee whitener, salt, pepper, knives, forks, spoons, cups/mugs, plates, bowls, etc) 

 

 

WHERE WE GO AND TRAIL TYPES

 

Our different tours cover trails, woods roads and back country wilderness in the following areas:

  • We travel to, but are not limited to, the Bay Du Nord Wilderness Reserve, Mt. Sylvester, The Tolt, Port Blandford, Terra Nova, Clarenville, Lake St. John (Johnís Pond), Bloomfield, Kepenkek Lake, Eastern Meelpaeg and more.........
  • The locations we travel to on a given trip will ultimately be determined by weather, trail conditions, the the time we leave and the package you choose! 

 

 

Trail permits are required for all groomed trails.

 

Groomed trail permits are included with OUR rentals.

 

If you are coming with your own snowmobile, the permits are your responsibility and will need to be purchased before you come.
